Ingredients
- 5 lb fresh cultured blue mussels
- 1 celery stalk, coarsely chopped
- 1⁄2 cup white wine
- 1 clove garlic, diced
- 1⁄4 cup green onion, chopped
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Rinse fresh blue mussels in tap water.
- To a large lidded pan, add white wine, chopped onion, celery, garlic, bay leaf and thyme. Bring to a boil.
- Add fresh blue mussels to boiling liquid. Cover and steam until mussels open, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Spoon the fresh blue mussels with shells into a large bowl, pouring broth over. Serve with french fries or your favourite bread.
