Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh cultured blue mussels.
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Rinse fresh blue mussels in tap water. Discard any mussel that does not close when tapped.
- Place fresh blue mussels around the outside edge of a large plate and microwave on high for 1½ minutes or until they all open. Time will vary depending on your microwave. If you like to dip your mussels in melted garlic butter, place about 2 tbsp of butter in a small bowl, add 1 clove of minced garlic. Place the small bowl in the middle of the microwave plate. The garlic butter will be ready the same time as your mussels.
- Remove mussels and pour garlic butter over them or dip mussels into garlic butter as you remove them from the shell.
