Ingredients
- 36 fresh blue cultured mussels
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 4 clove garlic, minced
- 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 onion, small, minced
- 1⁄4 cup white wine
- 1⁄2 cup water
- dash salt and pepper
Instructions
1. Rise fresh blue cultured mussels in tap water.
2. In a large saucepan, heat 2 inches of water to a boil. Add mussels, cover and steam until opened.
3. Remove mussels from pot, and discard any mussels that do not open and top shells, but reserve broth.
4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all remaining ingredients, add enough broth to make a loose paste (add a little water if you need to).
5. Place a little crumb mixture on top of each mussel and place the shells on a baking sheet.
6. Bake 10 minutes and then finish under the broiler a few minutes until browned.
